Heubert Khan Michael Makes It To DC Comics

We're extending our warmest congratulations to Heubert Khan Michael, a fellow Bayan Knight, who just made it to DC Comics! :)


This issue of DC UNIVERSE HOLIDAY SPECIAL 2009 features some interior artwork from Heubert as he handles the Huntress pages. The story has been written by author J. Torres, another Pinoy who's also been making waves on US comics.

What's the San Pablo Comics Festival?

The Second San Pablo Comics Festival is a celebration of Philippine comics where one can buy independently produced Filipino comic books (as well as imported ones) and meet the people who create them!

There will be a comics art exhibit, art contest, writer and artist signings, comic book sales, mini-tutorials, mini-seminars, panel discussions, and many more!

San Pablo too far away? Think of it as a vacation! Think of it as getting away from it all! Think of it as decentralizing Manila and spreading the comics love to the provinces! Plus, you'll get an AWESOME view!

Majestic-XII: TopSecret/For Magic #1

Congratulations to Talim creator, Omi Remalante Jr for his international indie comics debut with MAJESTIC-XII: Top Secret/For Magic #1. He handles the coloring duties for that issue.

Fellow Bayan Knights members Teardrop, Jon Zamar and Edelrita Rizo all worked for this title too doing flat colors, letters and edits respectively. Wan Mañanita also designed the logo. Again, congratulations guys and good luck to your project. May you sell every copy you print :)
